2nd & 3rd November 2010 in association with UKCEA and UKAPD
Staverton Park Hotel, Staverton, Daventry, Northampton
The joint conference of NAPCE, UKCEA and UKAPD is uniquely placed to provide a forum to bring together educators from across primary care to share and debate these and other issues. It has become a leading body to promote and support CPD in our primary care workforce.
The Autumn Conference will provide:
¨Support and development for new educators
¨Networking to share best practice across 4 UK nations
¨Key note presentations by national figures in education
¨Shared learning between educators from all disciplines
¨Re-invigoration, Reflection and Rejuvenation!
The conference programme features an inspirational programme of plenary sessions with keynote speakers, debate and practical workshops designed to be of interest to anyone involved in primary care education on topics such as revalidation, appraisal, protected learning time, poor performance.
The conference will be two separate days which may be taken as single days or as a whole experience. Both days will involve short keynote update addresses and significant group work.
Day One will be linked to a key area of interest (e.g. GP Specialist Training programmes / GP Specialist training;GP education – from completion of training to retirement.) and will cover topical issues and a session on performance assessment.
Day Two will be linked to core skill development (negotiating and influencing, presentation skills, and chairing and facilitation)All delegates will be able to take part in each of the three key workshops and will be able to practice and develop skills during the day.
Please circulate this information within your organisation. We are aware that there are many out there who have an educational component to their role but may not consider themselves as “educators”. This year’s “conference” will be particularly suitable to these individuals as well as those with a more traditional educator role.
