About NAPCE

The National Association of Primary Care Educators has a network of expert educationalists across the country.

We have a valuable role in mentoring, teaching and facilitating continued professional development for Primary Care Educators around the UK. NAPCE was established in 1991 as the National Association of GP Tutors. Its remit was to support GP tutors in their work, and in 2001 it evolved into the NAPCE in recognition of the fact that Primary Care Education has become increasingly inter-disciplinary in character.

It is recognised nationally by the RCGP, Directors of GP Education, colleges and the Government. Across Great Britain and Northern Ireland the officially appointed number of tutors is over 300; well over 90% have joined the NAPCE. It is the professional association for Primary Care Educators.
